Obtaining the Utterance ID Information from a Garmin Speak

Important:  The Garmin Speak™ app can no longer be installed and has been replaced by the Garmin Drive™ App. To download the Garmin Drive app, visit Google Play for Android or App Store for Apple.

On occasion, it may be necessary to obtain Utterance ID information from your Garmin Speak. This is typically used for troubleshooting purposes when the Garmin Speak device will not complete an initial pairing with the Garmin Drive app. 

To Locate the Utterance ID:

  1. Visit alexa.amazon.com on a laptop or desktop computer (this will not work on a mobile browser)

  2. Sign in to your Amazon account

  3. Click Settings

  4. Under General, click History

  5. Locate the spoken phrase where activation was attempted

  6. Under this phrase, the page will ask "Did Alexa do what you wanted?" Click No

  7. Click Send more detailed feedback  

  8. Copy the URL at the top of the web browser window

The copied URL contains information on the Utterance ID, and can be sent to Garmin Product Support if needed.
