Using the Multi-Touch Display on a Compatible Automotive Device
Many automotive devices have a multi-touch display feature. This allows you to use two fingers to zoom in and out, rotate the map, and change the angle of the map from 3D to overhead
Touch View Map, Drive, or Chase Map on your Screen and Follow the Steps Below to Use These Features:
Pinch to Zoom:
To Zoom In:
Place two fingers on the screen together
Move fingers apart
To Zoom Out:
Place two fingers on the screen apart
Move fingers together
The screen will now be either zoomed in or out.
Rotate Map View:
Place two fingers on the screen apart
Keep one finger on the screen where you want the map to be centered
Move the other finger clockwise or counterclockwise around the first finger to rotate the map
The map will now be rotated. To reorient the map to an overhead north-up view, press the up arrow in the upper left corner.
Change Map Angle Between 3D and Overhead:
Place two fingers together on the screen
Slide both fingers up or down
The map angle will now change between 3D and overhead views.
The map view will now be changed, but the map will remain centered on the point that was originally touched until you press the or
back arrow. Pressing the back arrow will revert the map to the default view that is set in the device's settings.
To change the default view on your device, refer to your device's owners' manual.
