Understanding the Toggle Switches on the Pro 550

On the Pro 550 remote training system there are two toggle switches to help control multiple dogs and change the training or accessory settings. Understanding the toggle switch settings will provide a better training environment for you and your dog.

The top toggle switch allows for you to change between three dogs. Choose from black, red or blue. If purchased as a bundle the collar that comes with the remote is setup to work on the black color. Additional collars are available to expand the system, PT 10 Dog Device. Ensure this toggle switch is set to the correct color before selecting a training command.

The bottom toggle switch allows you to set the type of stimulation to send and allows you to control accessories.

  • M is for a Momentary stimulation. When the dial is set to a number setting, pressing the training button will apply a brief stimulation to the dog. Similar to a quick tap.
  • A is for Accessory. The dog device is fitted with two LED beacon lights. With the toggle switch set to A pressing the top training button will activate the LED and the bottom to turn them off. Additional you are able to control an Upland Beeper with the remote.
  • C is for Continuous stimulation. When the dial is set to a number setting, pressing the training button will apply a stimulation to the dog the entire time you press the training key, for a maximum of 8 seconds.
