Apple: Network Connections With iOS 14 or Later

Changes were made within iOS 14, which may affect the way the Navionics® Boating app accesses your information. 

A privacy option to allow the app to access local networks (Wi-Fi) is included in this iOS version and later. If you find you are unable to connect to your plotter/external device Wi-Fi, you may need to check your device Settings. This could affect options like Plotter Sync, SonarChart™ Live, AIS, etc.

Initially, upon opening the app after updating from a version less than iOS 14, you will get a new pop-up asking if you would like to allow Navionics Boating to locate and connect to external networks. On this popup you have the option to allow these connections.

If it was not selected initially, you can also access this through your device Settings by going to Boating > Local Networks (toggle ON).
