MARPA Symbols not Appearing on the Radar Page
Various Mini Automatic Radar Plotting Aid (MARPA) symbols can appear on a users radar page. Each symbol represents something unique and is described in additional detail below.
A heading sensor and a radar must be connected to the chartplotter for these symbols to appear on the radar display. For more information on a heading sensor, see Related Content.
To Display MARPA symbols on the GPSMAP™ 10x2 chartplotter | GPSMAP™ 12x2 chartplotter (non-touch) | GPSMAP™ 4xxx chartplotter | GPSMAP™ 6xxx chartplotter
While on the radar page, use the Direction Pad to move the cursor over top of the object to track
Press the Acquire Target button
Press the MARPA Target button
The next screen will review information about the target that was chosen, press the Back button to return to the radar page

While on the radar page, touch the screen in the location of the target that is to be tracked
Press the Acquire Target button
Press the MARPA Target button
The next screen will review information about the target that was chosen, press the Back button to return to the radar page
To display the MARPA symbols on the GPSMAP™ 3xxx chartplotter
While on the radar page, press the MARPA soft key
Use the Direction Pad to move the cursor over top of the object to track
With the cursor over the object, press the Acquire Target soft key. This can be done for multiple targets
