Using the VIRB/VIRB Elite Video Loop feature
The video loop feature allows the user to keep the most recent video footage while recording video continuously. This allows the VIRB to maximize storage space when you want to capture key moments and don't want to save all footage of an activity. This allows you to delete unwanted portions of the video easily.
To enable loop on the VIRB and VIRB Elite:
- Press the MODE key and select SETUP
- Select VIDEO
- Select LOOP
- Select the number of minutes you wish to loop
The saved video loop will be split up into five separate files that add up to the amount of time selected in the loop setting. Once the VIRB has created a sixth file, it will erase the oldest video file so only the most recent 5, 10, 20, or 30 minutes of video is kept. When recording is stopped the five clips for that loop will be saved. When recording is resumed the process will begin again with five new clips, leaving the previous loop intact.
