"The device is not charging" Message or Red Battery Icon

The device will display a red battery icon and a pop up indicating an inadequate power supply when the power is insufficient to charge.

In this state, the battery icon will change to a red battery with a lightning bolt crossed out.

After a short time, the device will display "The device is not charging. Use a different power source."

 

If you touch the battery icon, this message will also display.

 


Ensure Your Device is Receiving Proper Power if you see This Message.

  1. Go to Garmin's Support Center
  2. Enter your device name (Ex. dēzl™ OTR720)
  3. Select Search for a solution... box and type Charging an Automotive Device
  4. Select the FAQ Charging an Automotive Device
