What is the Maximum Length of NMEA 2000 Cable that can be used to Connect my Device to a T-Connector?
The maximum length of a NMEA 2000 cable that can be used to connect any device or accessory to a T-Connector is 6 meters (20 feet).
If a 6 meter cable is not long enough to connect the device or accessory to the T-Connector, a longer NMEA 2000 backbone cable will need to be connected into the backbone of the NMEA 2000 network. This cable would be installed between two T-Connectors in the NMEA 2000 backbone. The distance between any two points on a NMEA 2000 network must not exceed 100 m (328ft).
