How to Enable/Disable the Database Concierge Feature in Garmin Pilot
Notes: Customers using Database Sync in addition to Database Concierge when GTN™ Xi avionics or G500/G600 TXi™ displays are part of the avionics panel should ensure that all additional SD cards are removed from those units prior to database updates.
To Enable the Database Concierge Feature in the Garmin Pilot™ app
- Be sure that you have a solid Wi-Fi or LTE data connection with an Internet Connection.
- Open the Garmin Pilot application.
- Press either the house icon on the top left of the screen, or on the bottom right of the application, tap on the three dots labeled More.
- Tap on the icon for Devices.
- Once on the Devices page, locate and tap on Database Concierge found on the left-hand menu.
- With the Database Concierge page selected, look on the right side of the app for the words Enable Database Concierge written in blue.
- Verify that Garmin Pilot is showing the correct aircraft and aircraft devices. If not, press the option Sync Aircraft and Devices with FlyGarmin, otherwise tap Continue on the upper right of the pop-up
- If desired, turn on/off the option to disable Auto-Download Database Updates or Delete Downloads After Installation. Then tap Continue.
- For IOS devices: If you have a Jeppesen account, use this screen to sign in to your Jeppesen account, otherwise press Continue.
- Tap Accept on the database license agreement.
- Database concierge will now be enabled and will sync with Fly.Garmin.com to locate your aircraft profile(s) as well as download any applicable databases available for to be installed into your aircraft.
To Disable the Database Concierge Feature in the Garmin Pilot app
- Open the Garmin Pilot application.
- Press either the house icon on the top left of the screen, or on the bottom right of the application, tap on the three dots labeled More.
- Tap on the icon for Devices.
- Once on the Devices page, locate and tap on Database Concierge found on the left-hand menu.
- When the Database Concierge page appears, on the right side of the app, scroll down until you see the words Disable Database Concierge written in blue. Tap on those words to deactivate the database concierge feature in Garmin Pilot.
