G-Metrix Data from a VIRB is Out of Sync with the Video in VIRB Edit
Description
When editing videos with G-Metrix data in VIRB Edit, sometimes the sensor or location information on the GPS tracks may not line up with the video footage.
Resolution
To resolve this issue there are two adjustments that can be made to the G-Metrix data in VIRB Edit.
To adjust the G-Metrix data:
- Ensure that VIRB Edit is up to date
- Hover the mouse cursor over the video you wish to edit
- Click the Pencil icon
- Click on the G-Metrix tab on the left
- Under the Data heading, select Activity Start Time or G-Metrix Sync
- Activity Start Time allows you to set a starting point to calculate distance, laps, and other data
- G-Metrix Sync allows you to manually align a GPS location with a specific frame in your video
- Activity Start Time allows you to set a starting point to calculate distance, laps, and other data
Once the required adjustment is made, the sensor or location information on the GPS track will line up with the video.
