How to Enable/Disable the Vault for the Garmin Dash Cam Device

The Vault feature in the Garmin Drive™ app or dēzl™ app securely stores saved and exported videos online. You can then securely share these videos by sending a link and passcode.

It is possible to enable or disable the Vault and features with the steps below.


Enabling or Disabling the Vault Settings in the Garmin Drive App:

1. Open the Garmin Drive app

  • NOTE: The dash cam must be connected

2. Tap the settings gear icon

3. Tap Vault Access

4. To turn the Vault settings on or off, switch the buttons on the right as shown below (slide bar on iPhone , checkmark box on Android):

    • Dash Cam Name(s): Saved videos will automatically upload to the online Vault when this is enabled.
      • If more than one compatible dash cam is connected, each dash cam Vault can be enabled or disabled separately.
      • The dash cam must be connected to make this change.
    • Exported Clips: When you export clips they will automatically upload to the Vault when this is enabled.

Disabling the Vault Settings in the dēzl™ app:

1. Open the dēzl™ app

  • NOTE: The dash cam device must be connected

2. Tap the settings gear icon

 

3. Tap Vault Access

 

4. To turn the Vault settings on or off, switch the buttons on the right as shown below (slide bar on iPhone , checkmark box on Android):

    • Dash Cam device Name(s): Saved videos will automatically upload to the online Vault when this is enabled.
      • If more than one compatible dash cam device is connected, each device Vault can be enabled or disabled separately.
      • The dash cam device must be connected to make this change.
    • Exported Clips: When you export clips they will automatically upload to the Vault when this is enabled.
    • Allow Mobile Data: When Wi-Fi is not available, a cellular connection will be used when this is enabled.
