iOS 11 Bluetooth Connection Issues With Smartphone Link on Garmin Automotive Devices
Garmin is aware of an issue where Automotive devices are disconnecting from Smartphone Link on iOS mobile devices running iOS 11.
A new Smartphone Link app update (2.7.2) has been made available to correct this.
Symptoms include:
- Device disconnecting from the app and not able to reconnect
- Data not syncing to the Smartphone Link app
- Weather information not displaying on compatible Garmin devices
Please ensure the following if you encounter any of the above symptoms:
- Update the Smartphone Link app from the App Store
- Ensure that the iOS version on your mobile device is up to date
- Restart your phone
After these troubleshooting steps, this issue should no longer be a problem.
