Backup Battery for the G3X or G3X Touch

While Garmin doesn't directly offer a backup battery for the G3X™ / G3X Touch glass cockpit suite, all boxes in the system have isolated "Aircraft Power 1" and "Aircraft Power 2" inputs. The "Aircraft Power 1" inputs are typically wired to the primary electrical bus and the "Aircraft Power 2" inputs can optionally be wired to a second power source. A common builder option is to use a small third-party battery unit to keep the display, GSU 25, and GEA™ 24 engine interface module online in case of a primary electrical power failure.
