Adding HuntView Plus and Other Outdoor Maps on the Alpha 200 Plus or Alpha 300 Series

The following will show the two ways of getting Garmin HuntView™ Plus mapping on your Alpha® 200 Plus, Alpha® 300, or Alpha® 300i dog tracking handheld, either preloaded microSD or digital download. 

NOTE: The Alpha 200 Plus and Alpha 300 series handhelds have the ability to download maps with a Outdoor Maps Plus subscription. For more information see Outdoor Maps Plus on the Alpha 300 Series

TIPS

• The easy option would be to simply purchase the HuntView Plus map on a preloaded microSD card
• A preloaded card can be used in any compatible device or computer you have
• A download is locked to a single device for use

Download/Installing a Map with Garmin Express™ Software

1. Connect the Outdoor Handheld to the computer
2. Launch the Garmin Express program 
   
   • Windows: Either double-click the Garmin Express icon in the system tray (next to the time), double-click the shortcut on the desktop, or search for Garmin Express in the Start menu.
   • Mac: Garmin Express can be found in the Applications folder in Finder.
3. Select the device and click Continue
   Note: If the device was not already added to the Garmin Express program, select Add Device and follow the onscreen prompts.
4. Select Tools & Content
5. Select Purchased
   • Note: If you do not see your map listed, click Sign In and log in to the Garmin account that the map purchase was made under. If the only option is to Sign Out but your map is still not listed, see Related.
   • You may also need to select the Refresh button, seen below if the map isn't visible
     
6. Click  
7. Accept the License Agreement
8. Read the important notes and click Continue
9. Click Continue next to the Memory Card or Device
   Note: If the size of the map exceeds the internal storage of the device, an SD card will be required.

Once the download starts, Garmin Express software will display the current progress. An installation complete message will be displayed when the download is finished and the device can be safely disconnected from the computer.
