Can I Reset or Change my Admin Password on the Garmin eLog App?

The Administrator Password in the Garmin eLog™ app cannot be reset or changed. The only way to get a new Admin password is to clear the app data, which would delete all the recorded data on the Garmin eLog™ Compliant ELD. See the Owner's Manual of the Garmin eLog for more information.

Steps for Clearing App Data on an Android:

  1. Open the Settings on your phone

  2. Touch Apps or Applications

  3. Select the Garmin eLog app

  4. Touch Storage

  5. Touch Clear App Data

If the steps are different, check the owner's manual for your phone for clearing app data.


Steps for Clearing App Data on an iPhone:

  1. Delete the Garmin eLog app from your phone

  2. Reinstall the app
