Receiving Traffic When Traveling to a Different Country

Your Garmin device has the ability to receive traffic when traveling to some other countries. See the requirements below for each traffic type.


Live Traffic through Smartphone Link (Easiest Way)

Traffic with a TA or GTM Cable

In order to receive traffic information in a different country, a traffic subscription would have had to be previously purchased.  

NOTE: Traffic subscription purchases have been turned off. Purchasing the traffic subscription is no longer available.  

  • Your device must have added mapping of the country you are traveling to

    • Traffic services will only work on a compatible device that has City Navigator NT mapping of the area

    • Some countries have free traffic service for GTM cables
