Information on differences between GPS 72, 72H and 76 handhelds
There are only a few differences between the GPS 72, 72H, and 76 handhelds.
One difference between these devices is screen resolution:
- The GPS 72 has a screen resolution of 120 x 160 pixels
- The GPS 72H has a screen resolution of 120 x 160 pixels
- The GPS 76 has a screen resolution of 180 x 240 pixels
The higher number of pixels in the screen will create a cleaner and crisper picture.
Another difference is that the GPS 76 can use an external MCX antenna, however the GPS 72 and 72H cannot.
The last difference is between the GPS 72 and the GPS 72H. The GPS 72 has a normal GPS receiver built in that may make it harder to acquire a satellite signal in heavy tree coverage or other places it may not have a clear view of the sky. The GPS 72H has a high sensitivity receiver that should allow the device to acquire satellites in areas where it does not have a clear view of the sky.
