Garmin Explore Website Collections for Automotive Devices

The Garmin Explore™ website allows user data such as waypoints, tracks, routes, activities, and courses to be created, edited, and managed.

NOTE: When using the zūmo XT2 and Tread devices, it is recommended to use the Tread app for creating and managing waypoints, routes, and tracks. The Garmin Explore website can be used to manage waypoints and tracks, but does not support route creation for the zūmo XT2 and Tread devices.

Collections can be created to group together certain waypoints, tracks, routes, activities, or courses. Collections are lists of data that can be viewed separately from the Library allowing for a less cluttered map or quickly finding specific data. Collections allow for syncing specific data to compatible devices as well as only showing some of the entire Library in MapShare. Collections are synced to a device using Wi-Fi for the Overlander® GPS navigator, the Garmin Drive™ App for the zūmo® XT GPS navigator, and the Tread® App for the zūmo® XT2 GPS navigator, Tread® GPS Navigator and all models in the Tread® series.

  • The Overlander is not compatible with courses. If courses are created from the Garmin Explore App or website and added to a collection, the Overlander will fail to sync any data until the course is deleted from the Garmin Explore account.
