File Extension for Custom Points of Interest

When Custom Points of Interest (POI) are loaded to a Garmin GPS device, they will be loaded into a .gpi file.

To view the .gpi files loaded to a Garmin device, open the POI folder on the device, or on its SD card if they were loaded to one. If the Custom POIs were loaded using Points of Interest (POI) Loader, the file will be named poi.gpi.

The POI folder can contain multiple .gpi files as long as they are all named differently and have the .gpi extension.

NOTE: POI Loader doesn't load .gpi files. The .csv and .gpx files are Custom POI files just before they're converted to .gpi files for device use by POI Loader.
