Open the Garmin Connect app on your phone.
Select More (bottom right).
Select Garmin Devices.
Select the watch you want the alert on.
Select Sounds & Alerts.
Select Abnormal Heart Rate Alert.
Turn on the desired alerts and set the values.

Setting an Abnormal Heart Rate Alert in Garmin Connect
Compatible Garmin watches can notify you when your heart rate goes above or below a specified level. If you are inactive for a minimum of 10 minutes, and your heart rate goes above or below your set threshold, you will get an alert on your watch.

To set an Abnormal Heart Rate Alert via your Garmin Connect™ account, choose one of the options below.
From a web browser, sign into your Garmin Connect account.
Select
in the upper right corner of the web page.
Select Device Settings under the watch you want to add the alert to.
Under Sounds & Alerts turn on the alerts you want and set the thresholds.
Select Save Settings.
Sync your watch with the Garmin Express™ software or your phone.
