Deleting Tracks and Waypoints From the inReach Explorer

You may want to delete tracks and waypoints from your inReach Explorer® handheld to free up space, or if they are no longer needed.

You can remove them from the inReach Explorer handheld by following these steps:


Deleting Tracks

Deleting Track Points

  1. From the Main menu, select History.
  2. Select the desired day.
  3. Select the desired point to delete.
  4. Select More....
  5. Select Delete.
  6. Select Delete again to confirm deletion.

Clearing the Track Log

Clearing the track log removes old track lines from the map screen.

  1. From the Main menu, select Tracking.
  2. Select Clear.
  3. Select Clear again to confirm.
  4. Select an option:
    • Reset Trip: Clears trip values and speeds.
    • Reset All: Clears trip values, speeds, and odometer.

The track log will now be cleared.

NOTE: You may still see a percentage of the storage taken up on the tracking page after selecting clear. This is due to having routes on the device.


Deleting Waypoints

  1. From the Main menu, select Waypoints.
  2. Select the desired waypoint to delete.
  3. Select More.
  4. Select Delete.
  5. Select Delete again to confirm deletion.
