Recording Sonar Data with a Garmin Marine Device

Some marine devices allow for Traditional, ClearVü™ scanning technology, and SideVü™ scanning technology sonar readings to be recorded to a micro/SD card¹ to be viewed on a computer. Panoptix™ sonar, including LiveScope, cannot be recorded.

Traditional sonar recordings can be viewed² using Garmin's HomePort™ software if access to the software is available. HomePort Application Discontinued. It is not possible to view recorded sonar without the use of HomePort.

The following chartplotters allow for sonar recording to an SD card:
