Activity Tracker Sleep Mode
Your activity tracker watch can be used to track total time slept in addition to movement and restful sleep durations during rest periods. You can set your normal sleep time in the Garmin Connect™ app or place your watch in sleep mode to facilitate the recording of this information. All methods require the device to be worn while resting in order to track movement during sleep or rest periods.
To enable Sleep Mode on the D2™ Bravo, fēnix® 3, fēnix® 3 HR, fēnix® 3 Sapphire, quatix® 3, and tactix® Bravo watches:
Press and hold UP/MENU.
Select Settings.
Select Activity Tracking.
Select Go to Sleep.
To use the Garmin Connect Mobile app to set your normal sleep time:
Access the menu by selecting More (bottom right).
Select Settings.
Select User Settings.
Edit your "Bed Time" or "Wake Time".
Touch the back button when finished.
To use the Garmin Connect website to set your sleep time:
Log in to Garmin Connect.
Select
to open the device list.
Select your device.
Click User Settings under your device.
Enter your normal sleep start and end time (e.g. 11:00 PM , 7:00 AM).
Click Save Settings at bottom of the page.
The next time you sync the watch your normal sleep time will be updated and the Sleep data in Garmin Connect will reflect the sleep period timeframe.
When you use the preset normal sleep time in Connect the watch will track your rest activity, and when uploaded to Garmin Connect you would need to confirm the sleep time in order to see the sleep graph. When the watch is manually placed in Sleep Mode, recorded sleep data will upload with this sleep time automatically and no confirmation is necessary.
