Replacement Watch Bands for Garmin Approach S5

A replacement band can be ordered on Garmin’s website to update the look of your watch or replace a band.

The watch bands that fit your Approach S5 can be found using the links below and expanding the + Bands line

If the band has broken within 12 months of purchase, please contact our Product Support team and include a picture of your broken band, your Garmin Connect account email address and the watch’s serial number (printed on the back of the watch).


Finding Bands at Garmin.com

  1. Hover over the Sports & Fitness menu at the top Garmin.com.
  2. Select a product type.
  3. Select your watch from the list.
  4. Click on Accessories.
  5. Click on Bands.

You will now see a list of compatible bands for your watch.

If your watch is not listed here, you may need to use the search box located in the upper right-hand corner of the Garmin.com home page.


Replacing the Approach S5 Watch Band

Replacing the Band

Replacing the band on your Approach S5 takes just a few steps. 

Tools Needed

  • 2  T6 Torx screwdrivers (provided when purchasing a replacement band from Garmin.com)

Removing the Band

  1. Align the torx screwdrivers with the pins on each side of the band housing
  2. Hold one torx screwdriver in place while rotating the other torx drive to unscrew the pin
  3. Remove the pin that unscrewed, and set it somewhere safe

The band can now be removed.

Replacing the Band

  1. Place the new band in-between the pin housing on the watch
    Note: Make sure the band is placed correct for the wrist you wear the watch on. 
  2. Place the pin back in the hole and push it though
  3. Use a torx screwdriver to hold the pin in place, and screw in the pin removed earlier
  4. Repeat this process for the other side of the watch

You have now successfully replaced your band.
