Using the Garmin GLO Series With the Garmin Explore App

The Garmin GLO™ and GLO™ 2 are GPS receivers that can be used to provide GPS data to applications on mobile devices.

NOTE: The GLO receiver does not pair with the Garmin Explore app like other compatible Garmin devices do. Instead, the GLO receiver pairs directly to your phone's Bluetooth to provide GPS data.

After pairing the GLO receiver, ensure that the Garmin Explore™ app is using the GLO receiver for location data by enabling airplane mode on the phone or tablet, then enable Bluetooth. For instructions on pairing, see Related.

When paired with the GLO receiver, the Garmin Explore app only allows for viewing your current location on the map and saving waypoints. 

If you need a more robust experience, such as track recording, finding a third-party application with your desired abilities would be a better alternative.
