Garmin Panoptix Transducer not Recognized by Connected Chartplotter

If a Panoptix™ transducer is not being recognized by the chartplotter, use the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Check that the transducer is wired to power correctly. Try a standalone 12-volt battery if using a fuse block/bus bar. Check the fuse to see if it is blown

  • Check that the transducer's Ethernet plug is plugged into one of the marine network ports on the chartplotter, try a different network port on the chartplotter (if available

  • Check that the software is up to date on the chartplotter. Marine device software updates can be accessed here

  • Check that the chartplotter is compatible with the Panoptix. For a list of compatible chartplotters, see below:

If the chartplotter still does not recognize the Panoptix transducer, then the transducer would need to be replaced. Contact Product Support to replace the transducer.
