Button Functions on the eTrex Summit

The button functions of the eTrex Summit® outdoor handheld are depicted below.

UP

• Select options on pages and menus.
• Adjust contrast on the SkyView page.
• Zoom out on the Map page.
• Cycle through trip computer data.
• Cycle through elevation computer data.

DOWN

• Select options on pages and menus.
• Adjust contrast on the SkyView page.
• Zoom in on the Map page.
• Cycle through trip computer data.
• Cycle through elevation computer data.

ENTER

• Confirms data entry or menu selections.
• Displays Option on main pages.
• Press and hold to activate the Mark Waypoint page.

PAGE

• Switches display pages.
• Allows you to exit/quit a function.
• Press and hold to turn the electronic compass on or off.

POWER

• Press and hold to turn the unit on/off.
• Press to turn the display backlight on/off.
