Device Does Not Power Off after Disconnecting from Charger
Some PT 5, PT 6, and PT 10 collars, the dog devices bundled with the Pro 70 (PT 5), Sport® Pro (PT 6), and Pro 550 (PT 10), may behave differently when disconnected from the charger than others of the same model. This also impacts the Pro Trashbreaker™ dog training devices.
Previously devices were powered off automatically after disconnecting it from the charger. They also exited BarkLimiter™ mode if they were in that state.
Devices when disconnected from the charger now may stay powered on and in BarkLimiter mode if that is what they were set to prior to being connected to the charger.
There are no external or hardware differences that can be used to determine which software is on a dog device. The only way to determine which version is installed to a unit would be to charge the device and observe its behavior when disconnected.
None of these changes are a malfunction of the device and both versions will work as intended.
