Access Navionics Charts and Features on Lowrance HDS (Gen1) Plotters

Plotter Software

NOTE: Plotter manufacturer’s latest software update is required.
Check your plotter’s software – press MENU twice, highlight System, press ENTER, highlight About, press ENTER
Current chart plotter/sounder software update versions
IMPORTANT: Do not use your Navionics card to update your plotter software or have it in your plotter when you update!

Chart Layers

From the Chart page, press MENU twice, select Chart, press ENTER, select Chart data, press ENTER, select one of the following chart options:
Navionics = Nautical Chart – official charting detail
Fish N Chip = SonarChart – high-definition bottom contour detail

Navionics Recommended Chart Settings

From the Chart page, select Chart options, press ENTER, select Settings, press ENTER, highlight the desired option and press ENTER:
Chart Details (All)
Annotation (Full)
Contours Depth (All)
Colored Seabed Areas (On)

Navionics Features available with Platinum Products

Panoramic Photos

Target a camera icon using your cursor and press the INFO button to display the item and select it from the list.

3D View

From the Chart menu, select Chart options, press ENTER, select Settings, press ENTER, select Texture Type, Press ENTER
Turning this option ON enables the 3D shading feature.
