Pairing Speed and Cadence Sensors With a Forerunner 310XT/910XT

The Forerunner 910XT and 310XT are compatible with the Bike Cadence Sensor, Bike Speed Sensor and Speed/Cadence Sensor (GSC10) as well as select third-party ANT+ compatible sensors. The advanced Bike Profile settings allow you to set up your Forerunner according to the specific type of speed and/or cadence sensor being used.

To access the advanced Speed/Cadence Sensor settings:

  1. Go to the Main Menu

  2. Select Settings

  3. Select Bike Settings

    • If no Bike Setting, change sport by pressing and holding Mode

  4. Select Bike Name (default is Bike 1)

  5. Select ANT + Spd/Cad

  6. Change Bike sensors present? to Yes, if needed

  7. Select More

The description of each setting is as follows:

  • Spd/Cad Sensor = GSC 10

  • Spd Sensor = Garmin Bike Speed Sensor or ANT+ compatible third-party speed sensor

  • Cad Sensor = Garmin Bike Cadence Sensor or ANT+ compatible third-party cadence sensor

  • Spd and Cad Sensors = Garmin Bike Speed/Cadence Sensor or ANT+ compatible third-party speed and cadence sensor

Once the appropriate box is checked, press the Mode button and select Restart Scan to pair the sensor(s) to the Forerunner.
