Following an Auto Guidance+ Path with a Force Trolling Motor
To follow an Auto Guidance+™ route on the Force® Trolling Motor, software on both the compatible Garmin chartplotter featuring Auto Guidance+ (or has a supplemental chart providing Auto Guidance+) and the trolling motor must be up-to-date on the software. The route is calculated on the chartplotter and transfers wirelessly to the Force Trolling Motor.
When initializing the Auto Guidance+ route, a message will appear stating, "Would you like to engage the trolling motor on this auto guidance path? " With options of "Engage" or "Cancel".
If "Cancel" is selected, the Auto Guidance+ path is created on the compatible chartplotter but not sent to the trolling motor.
If a compatible Garmin Chartplotter is not providing a prompt, a software update to the Garmin Force Trolling Motor and chartplotter will be required; see related content.
For additional information on Auto Guidance+ and other features, see the manual for the Garmin device.
To wirelessly pair a compatible Garmin chartplotter with a Garmin Force Trolling Motor, see the manual for the compatible Garmin chartplotter. If the up-to-date compatible equipment will not wirelessly pair, see related content.
