Getting Started With the Approach S70 - 47mm

If you are setting up a Garmin® Approach® S70 - 47mm for the first time, the following steps walk you through the process to help you get the most out of your new watch.

Setting up the Approach S70 - 47mm

When powering on the watch for the first time, you will be prompted to configure your user setting and preferences on the watch. These settings can be changed at any time.

  1. Power on the watch by holding ApproachMenuButton.

    • Tap to choose an option in a menu.
    • Hold the watch face data to open the glance or feature.
    • Swipe up or down to scroll through the glance loop and menus.

    • Press to start a round of golf.
    • Press to start an activity or app.

    • Hold to turn the watch on.
    • Press to view the controls menu and watch settings.
    • Hold to turn the watch off.

    • Press to return to the previous screen.

  2. Choose your language by scrolling through the list by swiping up or down, touch the language you wish to select.

  3. Pair the watch to your smartphone with the Garmin Golf™ app (optional).
    NOTE: Paring the watch with Garmin Golf will also register the watch.

  4. Proceed through the onscreen prompts to select your preferences and user settings.

  5. Set up the Activity Menu by selecting your favorites (optional).

    1. Press the action button.
    2. Touch Activity icon four circles.
    3. Scroll down and select Edit.
    4. Scroll down and select +Add.
    5. Touch an activity to add to your favorites list.
    6. Scroll down and select Done when finished.
