Updating the Vesper XB8000 Firmware Using the Android WatchMate App

WatchMate should automatically check the firmware version on the XB when it is connected.

 

Check that automatic update is turned on:

  1. Connect the Wi-Fi on the Android device to the B8000 SSID

  2. Open the WatchMate app

  3. Tap the alarm/config button on the top banner

     

  4. Scroll down to System

  5. Tap Firmware updates

  6. Ensure Automatic updates is enabled

Once automatic update is turned on: 

  1. Tap check for update

    Check for WatchMate Update 

  2. A prompt will appear requesting the Android device be connected to an internet source. Go to the Android Wi-Fi settings and change to cellular data or a traditional Wi-Fi source

  3. The app will then check for a firmware update. The progress wheel will spin

  4. Once an update is found it will download and can then be installed from this page after reconnecting to the XB8000 Wi-Fi again
