Automotive Device Compatibility with Mac Computers
All Garmin automotive devices are compatible with Mac. When connected to a Mac via USB, most devices should display as a drive mounted to the desktop or within Finder.

Some devices use Media Transfer Protocol (MTP) for connecting to your computer. Since MTP is not supported on macOS, these devices will connect using traditional mass storage mode instead of MTP mode when connected to a Mac.
