Calibrating tack assist on a quatix without wind data from the NMEA 2000 network

The quatix has a function called tack assist. Tack assist helps estimate when you need to engage a tacking maneuver.

The quatix does not need wind data to use tack assist. However, it does need COG (course over ground) data in order to calibrate correctly. As long as the quatix watch has a good GPS signal, it will calculate the COG automatically.
