How to Change Gear Tooth Count for Electronic Shifters

When using electronic shifters, gear tooth count may be automatically configured by the shifting system or entered manually. To pair the shifting system to your Edge® cycling computer, refer to your owner's manual.

Accessing the Sensor Settings

  1. Confirm the shifting system is awake and connected to your Edge.

  2. Select Menu.

  3. Select Settings if applicable.

  4. Select Sensors.

  5. Select the previously paired shifting system.

  6. Select Sensor Details.

Automatic Configuration

Shimano's Di2 system utilizes a private ANT+ implementation, allowing you to set the gear tooth count in the Shimano E-TUBE PROJECT App and the Edge will automatically use those values when the system is paired.

When Automatic is enabled in the sensor details, the option to change the gear tooth count on the Edge is disabled.
