Charging a Garmin Dash Cam
To power and charge the battery in the Garmin Dash Cam™ X110, Garmin Dash Cam™ X210. Garmin Dash Cam™ X310. Garmin Dash Cam™ Live, Garmin Dash Cam™ 47, Garmin Dash Cam™ 57, Garmin Dash Cam™ 67W, Garmin Dash Cam™ 46, Garmin Dash Cam™ 56, and Garmin Dash Cam™ 66W driving recorders, Garmin advises:
- Always use the USB Dual Adapter and USB cables packaged with your dash cam, or a compatible cable and adapter as described below.
- The dash cam cannot be charged by a USB cable in the vehicle unless used with the provided dual adapter. The device's Owner's Manual contains more information under Specifications.
- A compatible cable and adapter will allow for charging and full power to assist all features to work properly on your dash cam.
- Third-party cables or adapters may not charge the dash cam or provide full power for all functions to work. See Using Third-Party AC Chargers, Cables, and Other Accessories with Garmin Automotive Devices for more information.

The battery will not drain when the dash cam is connected to external power.
