My zumo R1 Radar is Not Detecting Vehicles Properly
IMPORTANT: If the radar device is not connected or sending radar data, Garmin® recommends that you stop riding and check the devices in a safe location. Adverse weather conditions and wet roads may interfere with the operation of the device. Avoid using the device in these conditions.
Make sure the device is mounted such that there is nothing obstructing its rearward view. This includes the rear tire, saddle bags, luggage, etc.
The unit should be mounted to the rear with the supplied mounting options, ensuring that it is level and parallel to the road.
Ensure the device is pointing directly behind the motorcycle. Radar performance will deteriorate if the unit mounting is skewed.
- Installing the device higher on the back of the motorcycle provides a better radar view.
