Navionics Boating: How Do I Adjust My Depth Information?

Adjust the water level of a particular lake, select the Map Options button Map Options button in the lower left of the map screen, or do the following:

  1. Select Menu
  2. Select Map Options

Use the slider to set your water level.  Setting the water level to a positive direction will raise the water level, for times of a flood pool.  Setting the water level to a negative direction will lower the water level, in cases of drought or when a lake is physically drained.

To adjust the chart back to its original depth information, set your Water Level option back to 0 or tap the Reset Default Values button at the bottom of the Map Options screen.

Examples of Different Water Level Adjustments

Different water levels showing the affect on the map at 10 ft below pool, normal pool, and 10 ft above pool level.

If you happen to see the warning symbol in the lower-right corner of your screen, this indicates the water level has been set in a positive direction. This is to warn you the depth information on the chart is showing deeper water available than the original chart information indicates. Tap the warning to display more information. You can adjust the water level manually in your Map Options or reset defaults at the bottom of the page.
