Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Take-back Program
Understanding Our WEEE Take-Back Program
At Garmin, we prioritize sustainability and aim to minimize our environmental impact. One way we achieve this is through our participation in the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) take-back program. This initiative is designed to promote the proper disposal and recycling of electronic devices, reducing electronic waste and supporting environmental conservation efforts.
What is the WEEE Take-Back Program?
The WEEE take-back program is a regulatory framework established by the European Union to address the growing issue of electronic waste. It requires manufacturers and retailers to facilitate the collection and recycling of old electrical and electronic equipment, ensuring that these items are disposed of responsibly and do not end up in landfills or contribute to environmental pollution.
How Does Our Program Work?
As part of our commitment to sustainability, we offer our customers the option to return their old Garmin Products to us for recycling through the WEEE take-back program.
If you have a Garmin Product that you no longer need or use, you can contact our support team to learn how to properly dispose of it. To contact the support team, please visit our dedicated page: https://support.garmin.com/en-GB/ql/?focus=topics
Then you just need to insert the product you have or serial number into the search field and you will be given contact options at the bottom of the page.
Once you have contacted us, our team will provide you with guidance on how to return your device for recycling. From there, we'll ensure that it is recycled responsibly and in compliance with all relevant environmental regulations.
