Open the Garmin Jr. app.
From the bottom right corner of the app select More.
Select App Settings.
Select Kid Mode.
Enter your 4-digit passcode.
Use the toggle switch next to Kid Mode to disable it.
Select the checkmark in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
From your kid's profile, select either Chores or Rewards to view and approve requested items.
- Enable Kid Mode again, if desired.

Using the Garmin Jr. App Kid Mode
The Garmin Jr.™ app features a Kid Mode which gives kids the ability to check off chores, request rewards, and view their app adventures all on their own.
Features meant for parents, such as chore and award management, will be protected with a passcode you create, plus you'll have the option to approve chores or rewards conveniently from your own mobile device.
NOTE: After enabling Kid Mode on the Garmin Jr app, you will not receive notifications from the app to your phone.
How Do I Enable Kid Mode?
To enable Kid Mode for the first time, follow these steps:
Open the Garmin Jr. app.
From the bottom right corner of the app select More.
Select App Settings.
Select Kid Mode.
Use the toggle switch next to Kid Mode to enable it.
Set your 4-digit passcode.
You will need to create a new passcode, and confirm it each time you enable Kid Mode.
Select protection settings and then Save.
Select the checkmark in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
After setting up Kid Mode for the first time, subsequent changes will only require parents/guardians to take steps 1-4 to enable and your passcode to disable.
My Child Does Not Have Their Own Phone or Tablet. Can I Still Use Kid Mode on My Device?
Kid Mode works best if your child is using the Garmin Jr. app on their own phone or tablet. If your child does not have their own mobile device, you can still enable Kid Mode on your device. However, if you opt to require approval for chores and reward redemption, you will need to disable Kid Mode each time you need to approve these items by following the steps below.
