Tacx Trainer Compatible With Shimano 12-speed Hyperglide+ Cassette

On August 31, 2021 Shimano introduced Hyperglide+ cassettes for use with their 12-speed road drivetrains. The 12-speed cassette design is backwards-compatible with older Shimano freehub body designs that utilize existing Hyperglide (HG) spline freehub bodies which includes 9, 10 or 11 speed cassettes. As a result, Tacx® smart trainers that have the older Shimano/SRAM cassette bodies installed will be compatible with Hyperglide+ 12 speed cassettes.

NOTE: If using Shimano MicroSpline 12-speed cassettes commonly found on Shimano XTR (M9100), Deore XT (M8100) and SLX (M7100), the MicroSpline freehub body is required.
