Bundled software update required when downloading BlueChart Downloadable Content

All Garmin Marine Devices will need to be operating their most recent software version in order to take full advantage of BlueChart g2/HD mapping. When purchasing a pre-programmed or downloading to a microSD/SD card, the bundle update for your device will be included on the card.

Once the card is placed in your device the first time, the device will prompt you to proceed with the update. Following the on-screen prompts will update your Garmin Marine Device to the most current software version. This will ensure that you are using BlueChart g2/HD maps with the most current software version for your device and associated accessories.

Since the software is mandatory, we have simplified the process by automatically loading it when either method is used to obtain BlueChart g2/HD maps.
