Meaning of the dots in the top left corner of the Time/Date view of an Approach golf watch

The animated dots are a quick reference to show that the Approach is tracking your total distance with the Odometer. The Odometer uses GPS to measure your distance, which can shorten battery life.

To enable the Odometer on the Approach S1 reference the owner's manual.

The Approach S2, S3, S4, S5, and S6 will automatically turn on the Odometer when you start a round and will turn it off when you end the round.

To turn off the Odometer for any of these devices reference the owner's manual.

Adjusting the settings of your device to use the Odometer will allow you to receive distance, while disabling it can increase battery life.
