How do I Submit Records/Exporting a RODS Report of Duty Status to my Motor Carrier From a Garmin eLog ELD?

According to FMCSA Hours of Service regulations, §395.8(a)(2)(ii), a driver operating a commercial motor vehicle must submit their record of duty status to their Motor Carrier within 13 days of the 24-hour period to which the record pertains. A driver can export a RODS (Record of Duty Status) report using the Garmin eLog App at any time according to their Motor Carrier's desired schedule in support of this requirement.

A RODS report may be exported in .html format so it can be viewed on a computer. This allows a Motor Carrier to view all of the duty status entries along with the graph grid report of the duty statuses.

A RODS report may also be exported in .csv format so it can be archived by your Motor Carrier according to FMCSA regulations. The .csv file will need to be opened with a spreadsheet application such as Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or other applications.

To Export or Save the Report in .html and/or .csv Format:
