Pairing a zumo 590 with a Bluetooth Phone or Headset
You can use your Can-Am Spyder zumo 590, Harley Davidson Roadtech zumo 590, or zumo 590 with your cell phone, headset, and/or helmet by pairing them. Before you begin, set your Bluetooth phone or headset to Find Me/Discoverable mode. If you are not sure how to do this, refer to the owner's manual or documentation that came with the device.
In order to connect to the zumo, the cell phone must be running either Android 2.1 and newer or an iPhone 4S and newer running iOS 6.0 and newer. If connecting a headset, it must support the hands-free profile and use Bluetooth version 1.1 or higher. Note: These are general guidelines, and do not guarantee compatibility.
To Enable Bluetooth on your zumo:
- Touch Settings
- Touch Bluetooth
- If no checkmark is present, touch the box next to Bluetooth
The Bluetooth will now be enabled on your device.
To Pair and Connect your Phone with your Device:
- Touch Settings
- Touch Bluetooth
- Touch Search for Devices
- Touch OK on the message that prompts you to set your Bluetooth device to Find Me or Discoverable mode
- The device will search for and display a list of compatible Bluetooth devices in the area
- Touch Pair on the phone
- Touch OK
Your zumo and phone will now be paired.
To Pair and Connect your Headset/Helmet with your Device:
- Touch Settings
- Touch Bluetooth
- Touch Search for Devices
- Verify that the headset or helmet is in Discoverable mode
- Touch OK on the message that prompts you to set your headset/helmet to Find Me or Discoverable mode
- Touch the name of the desired headset/helmet from the list
- Touch OK
- Enter the passkey displayed, if prompted
The zumo should now be paired with both the phone and headset or helmet.
