How to send Garmin Pilot iOS Debug Logs to Aviation Support
- Open the Garmin Pilot™ app
- Tap on Settings.
- Tap General.
- Tap Aviation Product Support.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and Tap on Debug Logs
- Tap on Send Debug Logs.
- Choose an Application to send the email.
- NOTE: As of January 5th, 2024, Google will not allow Garmin Pilot iOS Debug logs to be attached and sent via a customer's Gmail account. While the Garmin Pilot developers work on a solution, it is advisable to use a different email client, like Apple Mail or Outlook, that is configured to synchronize with your phone or tablet.
- Make sure to address the email to aviation.support@garmin.com and add ATTN: (Garmin Representative's Name) to the subject line, so that we can easily find your debug logs and help to expedite your inquiry.
Additional Database Concierge IDMU Logs:
With iOS Garmin Pilot on the Database Concierge page, the top text area can be triple-tapped to add detail to the logs for chasing down bugs. Viewing these tables is difficult on the iOS device because they are so wide, so typically the logs are exported for analysis.
- On the DBC page in iOS Garmin Pilot, triple-tap on the top text area to trigger the logging.
- When the triple-tap is detected, there will be a pop-up dialog confirming the logging of database information. If this does not appear, try triple-tapping more quickly and try triple-tapping more slowly.
- A table is added to the DBC logs for each aircraft and a combined table for all the IDMU's for the user.
Effective with Garmin Pilot version 11.3.6, users can now add the Database Concierge Debug Logs by going to:
- Starting from the Garmin Pilot Main Menu / Home Screen.
- Tap on Devices.
- Tap on Database Concierge.
- Tap on the three dots in the circle on the upper right side of the application.
- Below the word "Menu", tap on the words "Add DBC Info to Debug Logs".
