Garmin Connect: Setting a Watch as Your Primary Wearable Device

If you have more than one watch compatible with daily activity and steps tracking, you must designate one as your Primary Wearable in your Garmin Connect™ account.

The watch set as your Primary Wearable will break any ties between multiple activity trackers. Daily health metrics like sleep, body battery, and steps will be tracked by your set Primary Wearable over data from non-primary wearable devices when the data is equal or recorded at the same time. This avoids the same data being counted more than once.

When setting up a watch through either the Garmin Connect app or Garmin Express™ program, you will be prompted to designate the new watch as your Primary Wearable or keep the one you have previously designated. Data will automatically be consolidated when using multiple watches.
