Using the Navionics Boating App to Transfer Third Party User Data to a Garmin Chartplotter
User data, like routes and waypoints, can be transferred from a third-party chartplotter to a Garmin chartplotter using the Navionics Boating App.
To transfer the user data, the following is required:
Navionics Boating App
Garmin ActiveCaptain App
Garmin chartplotter
To transfer the user data:
On the third-party chartplotter, export the routes and markers as a GPX file from the unit to the Navionics card
Connect the mobile device to the third-party chartplotter via Wi-Fi
Open the Navionics Boating app and perform Plotter Sync (Menu > Paired Devices > [select the device] > Start Sync)
In the Boating app, select all routes and markers that are to be transferred (Menu > Routes (or Markers) > Select)
Select Share (icon) > Export GPX File > Select ActiveCaptian
ActiveCaptain will open and ask for confirmation to import the user data from the GPX file. Select Confirm
Connect the ActiveCaptain app to the Garmin chart plotter and perform the data sync to the unit; see Connecting the ActiveCaptain App with a Compatible Garmin Device
