Customizing the Watch Face on the Garmin epix (Gen 2) Watch

The epix™ (Gen 2) - Standard Edition and epix™ (Gen 2) - Sapphire Edition watches offer the ability to customize what data is displayed on the watch face. The selected watch face may change what can be customized, what options are available, or how the data appears. The instructions below are for customizing the pre-loaded watch faces. Customizing the Watch Face

  1. From the watch face, hold MENU.

  2. Select Watch Face.

  3. Press UP or DOWN to navigate to other watch faces.

    • Select Add New if you would like to start from a minimal watch face.

  4. Press START/STOP, then select an options to customize. Not all watch faces support all options.

    • Select Dial to change the style of the numbers for the analog watch face.

    • Select Hands to change the style of the hands for the analog watch face.

    • Select Layout to change Layout of fields.

    • Select Seconds to change the style of the seconds for the digital watch face.

    • Select Data to change what data options appear. 

    • Select Select Sport to change which sport (Run or Bike) is referenced for VO2 Max on the watch face.

    • Select Accent Color to change the color that is adjustable on the watch face.

    • Select Data Color to change the color of the data that appears on the watch face.

  5. Select Apply to save changes.

Watch Face Data Customization Options

Depending on the watch face you have selected, the data options may vary. Some watch faces may also include larger graphical data fields for things like VO2 max, Training Status, or solar charging information.

NOTE: If you delete one of the pre-loaded watch faces, the watch will have to be reset back to default settings to recover the watch face. See your owner's manualfor information about how to reset your watch to default settings.
